Hologram Styles
PhantomDungeons supports several built-in hologram styles that control how floating text and indicators appear during gameplay.
Damage

Legacy physics armor stand. Launches upward with gravity, falls back down. Known as "Parabolic"
This hologram is normal, compared to the Phantom style or modern, it uses ~30% more packets/bandwidth due to rapid teleporting. I plan to add pooling to this sometime.
Phantom

Pooled armor-stand holograms. Smart positional spread per player, and very performant.
This animation is very performant, as it re-uses the players available pooled holograms. This will help with bandwidth and overall packet processing.
Modern

Text-display entity (1.19.4+). Pop-in → hold → shrink + fade. Spawns randomly around entity bounds.
This animation is also performant, but in testing, it's about 20% more bandwidth/packets.
Looking to create a custom hologram style? See our documentation on external integration here.
Packet Testing (hourly)
This test was conducted with our own stress testing environment, simulating rough ~40-50 players with various enchantments, some are highly animated, some more logical with variables etc. But this demonstrates how our Phantom hologram is very good for production environments compared to the rest.
You can disregard the packet numbers, as this is a synthetic testing environment and not production.

Below is bandwidth related, showing it in MB
